CANDY BLEAKZ ROBBED IN SOUTH AFRICA — VDM REACTS TO GROWING ATTACKS ON NIGERIANS
🟦⚠️ VDM Reacts to Candy Bleakz Robbery in South Africa
A second Nigerian artist attacked within one year — raising serious concerns.
VDM has reacted strongly to the viral video of Nigerian artist Candy Bleakz crying after being robbed and beaten in South Africa — an incident made even more disturbing by her heartbreaking words:
“South Africa is fucked up. Officer, why did you let them rob me like this? You were there — you let them go. Why, officer? Why?”
According to VDM, this incident has “unlocked another fear” because it marks the second time in one year that a Nigerian celebrity was violently attacked in South Africa.
Earlier this year:
- DJ Big N was robbed
- Shot in the leg
- Lost valuables worth $114,000
- His credit card was stolen and wiped clean at a casino
VDM shared the hospital image again to remind everyone: This is not an isolated event — it is becoming a disturbing pattern.
And now Candy Bleakz has suffered the same fate — robbed, assaulted, traumatized… while the police allegedly stood by and did nothing.
VDM addressed South Africa directly:
“You are going to scare a lot of us from coming to South Africa.”
He reminded them that:
- South African artists come to Nigeria freely
- Nobody robs them here
- Nobody harasses them
- No South African can say Nigerians attacked them
VDM also recalled a disturbing rumour — that a Nigerian police delegation once visiting SA for training was allegedly robbed by South African police. He emphasized he cannot confirm it, but the fact that such a rumour exists shows how unsafe visitors feel.
VDM’s advice to Candy Bleakz:
- “When they took your gold — stay calm.”
- “Nothing is worth your life.”
- “Imagine if you followed them and they stabbed you somewhere.”
His advice to Nigerians travelling abroad:
- Leave your passport at the hotel
- Don’t carry valuables in unsafe areas
- Be observant
- Let robbers go — don’t risk your life
- Use waistband pouches for important documents
His appeal to South Africa was direct:
“We love you. We love your culture. We love your people. But please — regulate this.”
Nigerians are being robbed, beaten, shot — and nothing happens. DJ Big N was shot — nothing happened. Candy Bleakz was robbed — nothing happened.
He ended with unity, caution, and frustration:
“This is not fair. We are one Africa. Nigerians going to South Africa — please be careful.”
And to Candy Bleakz: “Sorry for what happened. I hope you recover soon.”
